Meet our Pastor!

Lynne Hill has ministered at HOPE on the Hill for 30 years as co-pastor to her husband Mark and worship leader. She continued to pastor the church after Mark’s passing in 2018. A lover of worship and a lover of the Word of God, she has a passion for the presence of the Holy Spirit and seeks to help impart that to others. She is an ordained minister with Elim Fellowship and a Certified Life Coach through Bridges Coaching. Her desire is to help the next generation of leaders come into the fulness of God’s plan and purpose for their lives. She is blessed with 4 married children who have given her 10 grandchildren, the joy of her life.

Our Story of Hope

Hope on the Hill began in 1992 when a few families who traveled a distance to attend a charismatic church invited Mark and Lynne Hill to consider planting a church in Holland. For the first 7 years, we met in the old Boys and Girls club of Holland until 40 acres of land was donated to us on Savage Rd in Sardinia. When we began developing the property, our first project was to erect a building able to hold 150 people. We later added a garage and a road to the back property. The men worked hard cutting down trees and clearing the fields for the project.

The church began with the vision of bringing a charismatic ministry to Holland and the surrounding area - a place where people could see the gifts of the Holy Spirit in action and feel free to worship Jesus with modern worship songs. Hope on the Hill is a place where prayer is at the forefront of all we do, the Word of God is taught, and the power of the Holy Spirit is manifest in our services. Our mission would be just that, a place that demonstrated the ongoing move of the Holy Spirit for the church and the world. Our vision is also reflected in our core values. Early on we found that we loved to fellowship, and lunches became a part of our weekly gatherings.

The vision and heart of what we have done for 30 years has not changed, it has just increased. We are now actively inviting others to enjoy the land God has gifted to us. By invitation, we open our campus to ministries and churches in the city and suburbs. This is a place where people can come to enjoy the country, have a picnic, take a hayride, a hike and end the day with a bonfire. We also have a building that can be used for ministry by homeschool groups, healing rooms and a place for seniors to gather during the week.

Our church affiliation is with Elim Fellowship in Lima, NY.
